Riccardo Bargellini (Livorno, 1966)

An artist and visual communicator, in 1997 he co-created—alongside Stefano Pilato—*Serate Illuminate-PAC180*, a cultural project focused on the lived experience of the "Franco Basaglia" Residential Center in Livorno; the project concluded in 2022. Since 1999, he has led the *Atelier Blu Cammello*, a workshop for expressive activities designed for users of Livorno’s Adult Mental Health Department. This initiative, which has garnered widespread international acclaim, was subsequently incorporated into the visual communication and expressive arts workshop at the *Blu Cammello* Day Center, managed by the Brikke Brakke social cooperative—an organization of which he is a founding member and artistic director. Concurrently, since 2000, he has directed *L’altrarte*, the visual arts section of the *Premio Ciampi*, a long-standing music award named after the singer-songwriter from Livorno. In 2010, together with Paolo Maccari and Valerio Nardoni, he founded the publishing house *Valigie Rosse*, the culmination of a decade-long journey of collaboration across the fields of publishing, the arts, and the organization of exhibitions and cultural events.
