Gustavo GIACOSA

Independent curator and director.

Born in Sunchales (Argentina) in 1969.

After studying literature at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral de Santa Fe and a first approach to theater with the director and playwright Rafael Bruza, Gustavo Giacosa met in 1991 in Italy Pippo Delbono and his company with which he continued his professional training course. . He will participate until 2010 in all theatrical and cinematographic productions of the Company.

In 2005, he created in Genoa (I) with a multidisciplinary collective of artists the Association Culturelle ContemporArt. Since then, he has been developing research on the relationship between art and madness within different artistic forms by becoming the curator of several exhibitions on this theme, including “We, those of the word always on the move” at the Museum of Commenda di Pré de Genoa (I), “Banditi dell'Arte” at the Halle Saint-Pierre in Paris (F), “Corps” at the Collection de l'Art Brut in Lausanne (CH), “Histoires de violence” at the Oliva Museum in Sao Joao da Madeira (P). His research is at the origin of an art collection entitled “Puentes” (“Bridges”) which puts in dialogue works of brut art with works of contemporary art.
